Pellowah for pets: how your furry friends can benefit too

If you're anything like me, you treat your pets as part of the family. I have a beautiful bestie cat, Ollie, as well as two peach-faced lovebirds and a pond full of koi, some over 20 years old and longer than my arms. They're family. And like any caring family member, you want the best for them in every way: physically, emotionally and, yes, spiritually. So let's dive paws first into Pellowah for pets.

What is Pellowah?

For anyone new to it, Pellowah is an energy healing technique that started in Australia. Unlike Reiki, which works more with the body, Pellowah focuses on the mind and spirit. It shifts your energy to encourage spiritual growth and emotional wellbeing. And guess what? Your pets can benefit too.

Emotional wellbeing in pets

Just like us, pets have emotional ups and downs. They get stressed and anxious, and can even get depressed. Maybe they panic during thunderstorms, or have been a bit flat since a new fur baby joined the family. Whatever the issue, emotional imbalance in our pets is a real concern. Enter Pellowah.

How does Pellowah work for pets?

It's much the same as with people. The practitioner holds the space, with hands hovering over your pet or resting gently on them. It's non-invasive, and most animals find it relaxing. Who doesn't enjoy some divine pampering? In my experience animals have a stronger sense of energy than most humans, so they're open and willing to connect to this beautiful energy that goes straight to Source.

Benefits of Pellowah for pets

  1. Less anxiety. Got a jittery Jack Russell or a nervous kitty? Pellowah helps soothe anxious energy and bring back a sense of calm.
  2. Coping with change. If your pet struggles with change, like moving house or a new family member, Pellowah can help smooth the transition.
  3. Physical support. Pellowah focuses on emotional and spiritual wellbeing, but many owners notice physical improvements too. Always keep your vet in the loop for anything health related.
  4. A deeper bond. Sharing a Pellowah session with your pet supports their wellbeing and strengthens the bond between you.
  5. Higher frequencies. Pets have spiritual lives too. Ever seen a dog barking or staring at an empty corner? They're often sensing a presence, like a loved one who's passed or a guardian angel. Pellowah helps them tune in.

A personal story

Pellowah can be done from a distance, and I tried a remote session for Ollie when I was away travelling Europe for a month. He was lethargic and just not himself. After a 20 minute remote session, my cat-sitter reported he was back to his playful, joyful self. He was even up for cuddles, which is a rarity, even for me.

Tips to get started

  1. Find a certified practitioner. Like me! Any Pellowah practitioner can give your pet a session.
  2. Start short. Pets have smaller energy fields, so they usually don't need as long as people do.
  3. Watch your pet. Notice changes in behaviour or mood. Subtle shifts often become clearer with time.
  4. Trust your instincts. You know your pet better than anyone. If you feel they'd benefit, give it a go.

So, are you ready to introduce your furry friend to Pellowah? I bet they'll thank you in their own adorable way, with a wagging tail, a cheerful chirp or a loving purr. The love we share with our pets isn't only physical and emotional. It's spiritual too.
